Welcome to the District 6330 Literacy Home Page!

Check out the list of projects on the left and use this list as inspiration for your club.

Rotarians in District 6330 are performing countless activities not shown in this list. We have volunteers reading to children, celebrating excellence with graduation awards, donating ipads and books to schools and libraries and inviting speakers from literacy groups. We provide breakfast in schools.

Clubs are thanking speakers with certificates describing a book donated in that speaker's name.

Rotarians are demonstrating and encouraging digital literacy with their members by updates on websites and Facebook pages.

Clubs recognize the value of educating youth and providing opportunities for their growth in leadership and social responsibility through our support of Youth Exchange, Seminar for Tomorrow's Leaders (RYLA), Adventure in Citizenship, interact and Rotaract.

Clubs can now qualify for a certificate of recognition by submitting details of their various literacy projects to the Education and Literacy Coordinator between July 1 and June 30 of the Rotary year. Click the Awards link to learn the full details of the CERTIFICATE of RECOGNITION and to download an application form.

Celebrate International Literacy Day, September 8, by inviting guest speakers to share stories about library programs, adult education and digital literacy. September is also Literacy Month in the Rotary Calendar

Participate in Family Literacy day in January with community events.

Thank you  for all that you are doing to improve the lives of others and remember “Literacy is a bridge from misery to hope.” (2001, Kofi Annan)
