The St Marys Club is holding a fundraising concert on September 27 in support of the 'End Polio Now' campaign.

The concert follows a Rotary Crocus planting event where individuals and families will gather to plant 13,000 purple crocus bulbs in a cascading waterfall design in Cadzow Park, St Marys.

This event actually has two parts. You can participate in the crocus planting and/or attend the concert. The crocus planting will happen (weather permitting) at some time between September 15 and the concert date. The concert on September 27 will feature the "Trent Severn" group and proceeds will support polio eradication. A concert poster is available here.

The Rotary Club of St. Marys invites you to join them at their

Crocuses are being planted this fall at Cadzow Park in St. Marys.
The purple crocus has become a symbol for ‘End Polio Now’ as purple is the colour of the dye used to paint the baby finger of children, 5 and under, who have received the polio oral vaccine.

Help is needed to plant 13,000 crocus bulbs (possible family outing) and support the eradication of polio by purchasing tickets for the Rotary Crocus Event. Please contact the club to order tickets for the concert and indicate your willingness to plant some bulbs. The bulbs will arrive on September 15th and planting dates (weather dependent) will take place sometime before the concert. Any surplus bulbs will be sold at the concert in bags of 30 bulbs for $10.
