Area of Focus: Water and Sanitation Month

Clean water is a basic need for human beings. When people, especially children, have access to clean water, they live healthier and more productive lives. However, at least 3,000 children die each day from diseases caused by unsafe water, and this is what motivates our members to build wells, install rainwater harvesting systems, and teach community members how to maintain new infrastructure. Read more about Rotary’s work in the area of water and sanitation.

Who says Rotary can’t be fun?

SURF’s up: Who says Rotary can’t be fun?

(from Rotary Voices - Feb 20, 2018)

Have you ever thought of turning a hobby or passion into something even more beneficial through Rotary? Can You Help Distribute Equipment to Northern Communities?
The Rotary group Honouring Indigenous Peoples (HIP) is asking for help with a project to distribute hockey equipment and concussion awareness education to Northern communities.

As you may be aware, sports related concussions have serious consequences. As sports equipment becomes more available, and youth participation increases, awareness and education is critical to get in front of injuries.

The HIP group is working to provide recreational opportunities by supplying hockey equipment - and is providing awareness and education regarding concussion injuries.

Help is needed to fund shipment of the equipment and the educational materials. If you, or your club, can help with this project, please read more and donate. Details and contact information can be found in the 'Read More' link.

The Rotary project called Honouring Indigenous Peoples is supported by many Rotary Districts in Southern Ontario including 6330. More information about HIP can be found on their website by following this link.
