From Your District Governor

November is Rotary Foundation Month

In large part, we can “make a difference” in the world because of our Foundation – because our Foundation helps Rotary clubs transform our gifts into service projects that change lives both close to home and around the world.

Our Foundation, concentrates our projects in at least one of the 6 areas of focus - Promoting Peace, Providing Clean Water, Saving Mothers and Children,
Supporting Education, Growing Local Economies, and Fighting Disease.

Friends Of Rotary

Looking for ideas to engage more people in your club?

The Rotary Club of Wiarton has formalized a structure for their Friends Of Rotary group. It helps engage people that are not ready for the commitment of full Rotary membership. During the first year that this program has been in place, the club has engaged 11 active potential members and 1 "Friend" has converted to full club membership. Follow this link for more information about the Wiarton Friends Of Rotary program.

The District 6330 website Membership Resources page has been enhanced with a new section entitled Embracing Change In Membership. This new section is a place where your ideas and changes made in your club can be shared. Check it out here.

Small clubs making a big difference
(from Rotary Weekly - October 27, 2017)

The power of a garden

Rotary members in Harvard, Illinois, USA, have teamed up with community groups to help alleviate hunger and bring the community together. As many as 250 needy families benefit from the 10,000 pounds of vegetables that are grown in a community garden and donated every year to the local food pantry. With only seven members, the club has had an impact far beyond its size, amplifying its efforts by partnering with others.
