Earth Day project

In response to a challenge from the President of Rotary International, the Watford Rotary Club planted trees at the north end of the Watford arena complex on April 26th. Twenty trees were planted representing a tree for each current member of the Watford club. The new trees will form a base for a walking trail at the arena complex.

Ron Perry, President of the Watford Club, quoted the President of Rotary International by saying. “Trees absorb carbon and release oxygen, they support biodiversity, they improve our soil, our climate, and our moods. Our club is pleased to be involved in this Earth Day project for the betterment of the Watford community.
